Topic : Backup error database

Hi there,

I have a problem with my backup. I made one and now I want to restore it but when I do this I get the message:

The following errors were found :

Error in creating Database :
That database already exists
Error occured while creating Database

How can I fix this? I deleted the database because it's making one with _ner at the end (never saw this). It's really frustrating because I can't place a decent backup back on my site! Hope somebody can help me!

Hi,

Please delete the database user as well and then try to restore the installation.

If you do not delete the database and database user Softaculous will not report any error.

But if you delete the database you should delete the database user as well. We will check this case and will make required changes as well.

Hi I don't really know what you mean. I have a blank server with no installations. The same name as the previous installation and the backup shows up. But don't know what you mean by this:

There is no database at the beginning so I cannot delete. But when I run the backup I get the error it is already there.. Also in DirectAdmin I can delete the database but no extra option for database users..

Ok I will do because I have the same issue with two other sites now so 3 of my sites are down at the moment...
