Softaculous

Topic : Possible?

Hi There,
I was wondering if this is possible.

I have installed a certain software manually, not via Softaculous.  However, the software releases many upgrades, and I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade to the new version of the software using Softaclous?

Thanks!

Hi,

Which software is it ? If it is included in Softaculous you can simply import it to Softaculous :
http://www.softaculous.com/docs/How_to_Import_an_Installation

and then you should be able to manage your installations via Softaculous.

Huh, I didn't know about the import feature, pretty cool. On the other hand, most installations have their own backend that the average webmaster often access and updates can usually easily be installed from there.
