Hi,
I'm running AMPPS under Windows XP and everything is working nicely.
Now, I know that I can install WordPress through AMPPS.

What I'm trying to do is install a regular HTML site.
Is this possible under AMPPS?

Would appreciate any help/comments.
Thanks.

Got it.
So, I added a domain 123456789.com
When I type 123456789.com/cpanel I get "Not Found".
I assume that now I need to install cPanel?

If so, can you tell me how to go about it.
Thanks.

Hi,

I am assuming you are trying to access Enduser Panel of AMPPS. Which is located at http://localhost/ampps and Admin Panel at http://localhost/ampps-admin

cPanel is a Panel used on servers.

Whereas, AMPPS is for development environment and has its own small single user Panel. Where you can manage your script installations, alias, domains, etc.

You can read more about AMPPS here :

I see. Thanks for the info.
So, and I hope I'm not bugging you with all my questions, let us assume the following scenario:

1- I have a need to have a server environment on my local computer which pretty much resembles what I get from my hosting company (Unix server).

2- Is there any software that I can get and install locally that will give me such a functionality (cPanel, etc ...). Ideally this software will be very user friendly.

3- If you are not aware of such a software, not to worry.

Appreciate your help so far.

sometimes i follow new topics , and this is a topic that i will reply ...

why , i read you don't now where to put your html file for making a website lol...

and than i read stuf of company and cpanel and whatever (are you joking or what!!)

and you dont know if you can put a html file on ampps server or ampps  environment lol

thats the joke of 2013 if you tell me  :P   and you speek of unix servers and ect ...

and if you wanna place a domain or subdomain in the right place on ampps never make it on ampps/www this is the root of ampps.

if you make it all there , people that visit your site will see all your  environment of maps in this section and that not so good...

best way --->> ampps/www.mysite1.be
    ----->>>>          ampps/test.mysite1.be

and know nobody will see your root maps that you have making.

if you do not , all maps wil be under your site 1 subdomains and ect ...
