I'm wondering if I have to move any specific files / folders if I'm moving the AMPPS folder to a different computer?

Moving between to Macbook pro laptops in which I have administrative access.

Hi,

You will have to copy whole /Applications/AMPPS folder. And chown it to your new user

Code
user$ sudo chown user:admin /Applications/AMPPS

We haven't tested this yet. But it should work. Do let us know if you are facing issues.

I tried the terminal code, but it gave me an error msg.

chown: user: illegal user name

I tried replacing "admin" in the code with my user name, but that didn't work.

To be clear:
Apache doesn't start, but mySQL does start.

When I try this code: sudo /Applications/AMPPS/apache/bin/httpd

I got this error: -bash: syntax error near unexpected token `)'

Hi,

By "user", I meant the user from which you are logged in.

Run this exact command now:

Code
sudo chown -R $(whoami):admin /Applications/AMPPS
