Topic : Control panel only, without the apps

Posted By: bsdpowa on September 22, 2013, 4:43 pm
Hello and thank you for this wonderful lightweight control panel.

My suggestion is to make a control panel only (Webuzo Lite), without the apps.

Another suggestion would be to allow the user to install whichever apps they want during the installation - a user would be allowed to edit/modify install.sh.

Also, try to make it work on Debian as well.

Kind regards,
Dan

Hi,

Sir thanks for the suggestion, we will surely consider this request.

For now you can disable the script from the Admin Panel and it will no longer be seen in the Enduser Panel.
Here is a guide for the same:

Sir you can certainly install the apps as per your requirements during installation wherein you can specify the apps as an argument while installing webuzo.
The installation steps are documented here:

We are currently implementing it on Ubuntu and shall move forward to Debian as we

Thanks for the reply.

I know you can disable apps in the control panel. I meant a lighter version of Webuzo which would reflect on the price as in $1/m without apps opposed to $2.5/m with apps. Something like that, it's merely a suggestion not a proposal.

Most popular script is definitely Wordpress, so you could make a WP-Webuzo stack for a buck a pop without the other apps. I think that would sell well.

I prefer Debian (32bit even) over CentOS for LEB, that's why I suggested to support it.

Webuzo is great, I'm sold. :)

Sorry at the moment we do not have plans to include this, we will see if we can include this in future.

You can visit the following URL after executing the install.sh
Code
https://YOUR-IP:2005/install.php?prepareinstall="Script ID"&license="Webuzo License Key"&onlyone="Script ID"

This will disable all the other scripts except WordPress and will ask you for the installation details on the Webuzo install page itself and will install WordPress after installing Webuzo. But the pricing will be the same.

We will try to add support for Debian soon.
