Topic : How do I set up xdebug for php 5.6 on OS X

Posted By: georgew751 on January 21, 2016, 8:19 pm
I just installed the latest AMPPS software on my Mac, running OS X 10.11.  I configured php 5.6.  All seems to be working ok so far.  I even set up some virtual hosts.  Now, I am trying to configure xdebug.

I thought that xdebug was pre-complied for AMPPS.  I do see xdebug.so in the lib/extensions directory for php 5.3 and 5.4. But it's not there for php 5.6 or 7.0.  Is this a bug, and can I download xdebug to use it with php 5.6 in the AMPPS environment?  This is all still fairly new to me.  I am trying to set up a web development environment that somewhat matches what my hosting provider is using (which includes using php 5.6.xx).

Thanks,
George
