Topic : NextCloud 15 Upgrade

When upgrading NextCloud in Softaculous, you will get an error message after the update "The files of the app External user support (user_external) were not replaced correctly."

In your file manager edit /apps/user_external/appinfo/info.xml

From: <nextcloud min-version="13" max-version="14" />
To: <nextcloud min-version="13" max-version="15" />

Refresh the page where you update your installation and it will proceed.

Hi,
May I know from which version upgrade you are getting this issue ?
Please mention where this error message is shown ?
We checked upgrade from Nextcloud 14.0.4 to 15.0.0 and it does not throw this error.

The initial installation was 13, upgraded to 14 and then ultimately 15.

The error showed up after Softaculous had finished it's end of the upgrade and when visiting the website admin afterward in the final steps.

The error still occurred when the user_external was replaced manually through a file upload (all files in the module deleted and reseated). Since the info.xml file did not change in the new file upload, the error still occurred after the manual file upload.

This is more an issue with Nextcloud rather than Softaculous.

Hi,
I checked latest package of Nextcloud 15.0.0 and they have not updated
/apps/user_external/appinfo/info.xml

From: <nextcloud min-version="13" max-version="14" />

To: <nextcloud min-version="13" max-version="15" />

We will update it in our package once they update it in their package.
