There are a a number of comments regarding AMPPS and MacOS Catalina. The fact is that there hasn’t been an update of AMPPS for years now, and the developers don’t even appear to take any note of this forum.
Apple had indicated for a very long time that it would stop supporting 32bit applications, and started issuing warnings over a year ago. As of Catalina, this has happened, and legacy applications, such as AMPPS, have bitten the dust.
Anybody who has used AMPPS for some time will already have noticed that the version is stuck in the past. It appears to have been completely abandoned, the developers have packed up and skipped the country, and are probably waiting for the domain to expire.
AMPPS had a number of good features, such as the ability to switch versions of PHP, even though it was limited to 21 bit, and easy installation of virtual hosts. However, that was the, and this is later.
If you want an alternative, the obvious alternative are XAMPP, MAMP and WAMP.
I myself have settled on XAMPP as being stable and workable. As regards virtual hosts, I have developed a tool which I have used for myself and for my students.
Forget AMPPS.

Hi,

Firstly let me start by apologizing for the delays.
We have now managed to launch AMPPS for windows :
http://www.ampps.com/blog/scripts-update/softaculous-5-3-2-for-ampps-1798.html

The Mac version should be out pretty soon. Because of a lot of problems trying to launch all platforms at the same time, the new version kept on failing.

In order to avoid this, we are now going to decouple the binary from the apps like PHP, MySQL, Apache. We will be able to push them separately like how we do in Webuzo.

Stay tuned for updates on MAC as well.

Regards

http://www.ampps.com/downloads includes Ampps 3.9 for Fedora, though it is not apparently the Current Version, whatever that means. There are no details on what it contains either.

Thank you for your answer, but I had tried downloading the 3.9 version of ampps for fedora and the actual link sends to the previous version (3.8)... Maybe it is a mistake in the downloading page code?

Ah, you’re right about the Linux link. Being in the 3.9 section I had foolishly imagined that it would be for version 3.9. We know for next time.
I’ve given up on Ampps since I’ve converted to XAMPP. If you’re on Fedora, haven’t you already got what you need? Probably better, since you would be using MariaDB instead of MySQL.
