Hi,

You are facing this issue because the database username has a limit of 16 characters.
As from the screenshot I see that the number of characters was exceeding it.
Softaculous chooses the database username as follows USERNAME_DATABASENAME
Now the username here is ymngpiib_juliojo due to which you were facing this issue.

Please choose a shorter database name and you should be able to install Joomla then. I have made a test install for you and have emailed you the installation details via Support ticket.

Please let us know if you need any further information.

Did you change the MySQL servers' root users' password ?

The password is stored in the file "/var/webuzo/my.conf"

Are you able to view any of your databases in the Webuzo Enduser Panel >> Manage Databases ?
Guide : http://webuzo.com/wiki/How_to_Create_and_Manage_MySQL_Databases

Restart the MySQL service and then TRY.
Guide : webuzo.com/wiki/Restart_services

Hope it helps \m/

Hi,

Our developers have checked your ticket. It seems that the port required by MySQL is blocked on your server, hence your MySQL is not working fine. They have replied to your ticket.

Please let us know if you need any further information. We will be happy to help you.

I came across this same error on a webuzo server with mysql 5.6 installed. The fix was running mysql_upgrade
/usr/local/apps/mysql56/bin/mysql_upgrade --force

I get the same Error. Fresh installation, with Nothing but Ubuntu {latest} and Webuzo. Cannot Install a single Program. Has anyone figured-out a solution to this?

Support has not contacted me back.
