Hello,
I would like to create a custom WordPress package with custom themes and plugins. I read your guide http://softaculous.com/docs/Making_Custom_Package , but I'm having some difficulties. Can someone maybe provide me with a custom WordPress package, that I can modify accordingly to my needs? Alternative: Is there a way to modify the original WordPress script and add some custom themes and plugins? |

Hi Luca,
/path/to/scripts/SOFTNAME refers to /var/softaculous/mywp >> Is there maybe a guide on how to edit the mywp.sql file in order to activate my themes and plugins? It differs from plugin to plugin, hence we recommend to make a test installation and activate your theme/plugin and then check the difference between the SQL files and make the changes in mywp.sql accordingly. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool |

Hi Luca,
Quote 1)What should I do, when a new WordPress update is available.
Should I simply replace the mywp.zip in the custom package with the new .zip and edit the version in the info.xml file? You need to update the ZIP as well as SQL file along with the info.xml Quote Softaculous is set to autoupgrade. Will it automatically upgrade all installations of this script? At the moment auto upgrade is not supported for custom scripts. Quote 2) I have some WordPress installations. How can change their script to the custom WordPress? You can import the installations to your custom script : http://www.softaculous.com/docs/How_to_Import_an_Installation Quote 3) I installed the custom script and activated the plugins. Then I downloaded the .sql with phpmyadmin. Can I replace this .sql with the one in the custom script? You will need to incorporate the changes in the mywp.sql file to your SQL file. Note the [[ ]] tags which will replace the dynamic values like database prefix, admin username, password, etc Quote What will happen if a user deactivated one of this plugins and softaculous makes an update of the script? Will it reactivate the plugin? No. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool |

Hi Luca,
The upgrade icon should be available for your installation and then you can upgrade your installation how you would do for a normal WordPress installation : http://www.softaculous.com/docs/How_to_upgrade_installations Let us know if you do not see the upgrade icon for your installation. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool |
