It seemsDovecot is not installed on your server and hence you face this issue.

Steps :
1) Install Dovecot from the Webuzo Enduser Panel >> Apps >> Utilities Category

2) Restart the Email service for once (Exim and Dovecot)
Guide : http://webuzo.com/wiki/Restart_services

Restart the services from the terminal as follows :

Code

Root > service dovecot restart

Root > service exim restart

Same Error
ERROR:
ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.

i did this on the terminal

[root@webpanel ~]# service dovecot restart
Stopping Dovecot Imap: [ OK ]
Starting Dovecot Imap: Warning: Corrected permissions for empty directory /var/run/dovecot/empty
[ OK ]
[root@webpanel ~]# service exim restart
Shutting down exim: [ OK ]
Starting exim: [ OK ]
[root@webpanel ~]#

if you like i can give you root access to the server this is only my test server.
I just purchase My license Today and i need to get the email working so i can deployed.

Sir it is the initial fix auto-corrected by Dovecot itself.

It will not cause you any trouble.
