Topic : Disk Space Loss After Installation

Posted By: johnmorris on November 29, 2016, 1:03 pm
Howdy folks, I have a problem, I re-installed Webuzo and all works well, but just over night I lost 9GB of disk space.
This is the second time I have installed Webuzo on my VPS thinking it was something I did wrong for the first time.
The first time I installed Webuzo, immediately after install there are about 2GB used (that's ok), then after a couple days, all 30GB of my 30GB VPS was gone, used up for no reason, I did not even install any additional software or websites yet.
Installed Webuzo lastnight again, woke up this morning and found that 9GB of my 30GB VPS was used up.
There must be something happening in the background that is causing me to lose disk space, any suggestions are greatly appreciate.

CentOS 6
VPS
Webuzo install with LAMP

Now we are up to 12.5GB used disk space, I have done nothing since the last report. Thanks again for anyone who can help.

I contacted Webuzo CS here, thanks for getting back to me folks! We determined that Webuzo is not the cause of the disk space loss. Yet something else running in the background.

Since my VPS is in the testing stage, I was able to re-install it and start from scratch. I have not even touched my VPS server, and my disk space usage is growing by the minute. I have not even performed a YUM update yet, and my server is running away and losing disk space.
Go figure.
John

Hi johnmorris,

As mentioned in the support ticket , please contact your VPS provider immediately regarding this issue.

I have Nikhil, the first answer I got was they cannot do much as the server is on their unmanaged plan, but they did give me some links to read and troubleshoot the issue myself. I did and there was no affect in my attempts to find the issue.

I contacted them again and I am awaiting an answer from them today. I don't think it's anything I have done, as I said I just reinstalled the vps server and without even touching it, I began losing diskspace immediately.
Hopefully they can fix this, thanks for the reply.

John
