I've recently installed Ampps and get "upload-max-filesize" and "post_max_size" errors.
I've done 2 Ampps installs and it is consistent. I installed on a second machine to make sure it was installed okay and the errors are consistent.
What happens is after installing WordPress on a new local domain. I then go into the WP Dashboard and start uploading plugins. The first two install just fine as they are under a mysterious limitation of the php.ini file settings. (I presume)
--> "upload-max-filesize"
I've looked on other WP forums to fix this problem. Their suggestion is by changing the php.ini file. Unfortunately increasing the size of the "upload-max-filesize" does not solve the problem.
The Ampps php.ini file in the phpMyAdmin 5.5/etc/php.ini is as follows:
upload_max_filesize = 2M
It is only 2M... I increased this setting to 100M as suggested elsewhere and was not enough.
Is this in fact the problem?
The servers were stopped. Ampps closed then reopened and the servers started again.
The result was: nothing changed. WP Plugins can't be loaded. This renders the Ampps environment useless.
Next...
--> "post_max_size"
The post size has the same limitation... with the same errors.
The bottom line is it seems the Ampps environment is configured to be crippled out of the gates... which just does not make sense. Multiple installs yields a consistent problem.
It is curious as there are no settings that I as the user changes. Ampps is not working default out of the box as they say.
