Topic : Unable to change PHP Version

Posted By: kcoder329 on July 26, 2015, 8:20 am
I have just installed Aamps on my (Windows) system and I needed to change the the PHP version to 5.4. So I went to the Softaculous panel and clicked on the "Change PHP Version" But it it just freezes the program completely and I am unable to kill it without using the task manager. When I do kill it with the task manager I am unable to restart it and I have to shut down my system and restart it.

Is this a known problem ? Is there another way of changing the php version?

Thanks

Hi,

Can you please let us know which Windows version are you using AMPPS on?

Also can please stop the Apache and MySQL service and then try to change the PHP version.

Please let us know if you still face the issue.

I was facing similar problems with AMPPS installation on Linux/Redhat. MySql and Apache processes could not be turned off via the controlpanel, so i killed both processes. This shows right away in the controlpanel, where the powerbuttons have turned red. Now i was able to change the PHP version.

Hi,

We regret for the inconvenience caused to you.

If you could please open a support ticket here:

so that we can check why MySQL and Apache processes could not be turned off via the Control Panel.
