Delete all the files with .html extension in your public_html directory to remove SitePad published that were published. Thank you, I knew I was overlooking something simple. Another mistake I made (if this helps others), is to accept the Default (Wordprress) Directory when installing Wordpress to begin with. If I'd have done that before installing WP, it would have over written the Sitepad's index doc. Thanks again. I have tried reinstalling Wordpress to overwrite Sitepad but still get error 403 when I try to change the WordPress theme. Are there other files I must delete to give WordPress the permissions? Hi, If you do not have any important files in your public_html directory then you can remove all the files in your public_html directory and try installing wordpress again.
