Just a note, we released Softaculous 5.6.8 couple of days back with a new UI and we hope that should resolve some of your issues. Do try the new UI and let us know your feedback on the UI as well.

WP Manager - Practically impossible to export and install and import into another account without editing serialised data!?!?!
At the moment this is not possible across other control panel accounts. You can use the Remote Import feature to import the installation across another account (on the same or remote server) :https://www.softaculous.com/docs/enduser/remote-import/

Unfortunately I'd say if anything, the UI is now even worse. The Wordpress Install pop up in particular is absolutely terrible, it's in a fixed height pop up for no apparent reason with a custom scroll bar. They need singling out as really, really poor UI choices.

The inconsistent button colours just feel weird, again a seemingly rushed UI update that hasn't been thought through.

Can you change the domain name of the install you're importing with the approach? It doesn't seem to be clear or documented.

It is now 18 months later, end of january 2023, and unfortunately these bugs in WP manager still exist.

E.g. I have specified in the Softaculous settings page to NOT show the prefilled directory option and yet every new install defaults to wp as a subfolder.

The same is true for the option to only show https. Everytime the other options such as http, www etc are also shown.

Finally there is a lacking feature that I really miss which is the possibility to sort and filter the list of installed websites. I have a mix of dev, staging and live sites and I would like to filter the view by category and this is not possible.

Maybe, as a suggestion, could you have a look at your competitor AApanel ? They have a very effective solution for site management with all relevant information available . E.g. for each site you can find the following info:

SSL expiry status
PHP version
Backup status
Root path
etc

Is the enduser account owned by a Reseller ? We have the same settings in Softaculous Reseller Panel so could be possible that Reseller had saved settings previously and allowed http and sub-folder prefill.

So now even if you disable from root if the user is owned by reseller the reseller settings will have higher preference.

Please login to WHM as the Reseller user and access Softaculous Reseller panel and apply the settings as required.

FYI, I am experiencing this problem with Softaculous whilst running on a Webuzo server as both admin and user. I am not a reseller and I am not using WHM.
