Hi,

Resize error would generally appear due to in-consistent FS in vps from which the template was created.
Did you ran chkdsk /f in Windows vps and restarted it twice and then shutdown Windows and create template from panel again ?

Hello!

Got same error.

During install getting error: "QEMU : Resize FS error There was an error in creating the VPS."

OS Template - KVM, ubuntu-22.04-x86_64 (http://files.virtualizor.com/ostemplates.php?osid=1017)

Other templates installing fine.

Virtualizor OS: CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core)
Virtualizor filesystem: ext4

Storage Type - File
File Format - QCOW2

Is there any solution of this issue?

Best regards, Yurii Varenytsia.

Hi,

If e2fsprogs binary version is 1.42 or lower then it can give resizeFS issues for VPSes created using newer OS templates since they come with newer Ext4FS version in them.

CentOS 7 does not gives e2fsprogs higher than 1.42 version.
You can either install 3rd party repo which gives ready-made higher version of e2fsprogs RPM or need compile it manually from source.

Since it was a brand-new, unused node, we had to reinstall ProxMox.

My previous experiences with ProxMox (3&4) lead me to believe that a corrupted file system was to blame.
