Hi,

To use Softaculous(Ampps home and Ampps admin) you need internet connection for the first time, so that all the packages are downloaded related to Softaculous.

If you can manage the internet connection then please run this command in terminal,

"/usr/local/ampps/php/bin/php" -c "/usr/local/ampps/php/etc/php.ini" "/usr/local/ampps/ampps/softaculous/enduser/install.php"

I run "/usr/local/ampps/php/bin/php" in terminal and cursor goes to next line blinks for about 30 seconds then absolutely NOTHING happens for over 45 mins now. What am I doing wrong?

Also this link:

http://localhost/

WORKS!

But NONE of these links  do:
  1. To access AMPPS Enduser Panel, visit url http://localhost/ampps
  2. To access AMPPS Admin Panel, visit url, http://localhost/ampps-admin
  3. To access phpMyAdmin, visit url http://localhost/phpmyadmin
  4. To access SQLiteManager, visit url http://localhost/sqlite
I just get a blank page for each one and yes I have direct Internet connection.

I get this or something similar at the top of the page for each link which is not working:

I downloaded from http://ampps.com/download the Linux 64 bit AMPPS
version for Ubuntu but I did not end up with the 3.0 version. I ended up
with a 2.0 something or other. I've been looking everywhere for awhile
now for the terminal command to tell me which version I presently have
but can't find it. So could you please provide me with that command,
Rishi?

tom@AMMI-1-DT:~$ /usr/local/ampps/apache/bin/httpd
/usr/local/ampps/apache/bin/httpd: error while loading shared libraries: libexpat.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
tom@AMMI-1-DT:~$

For localhost/ampps in Mozilla browser I get:

Not Found
The requested URL /ampps was not found on this server.

Apache/2.4.7 (Ubuntu) Server at localhost Port 80

Be well and thank you,
Tom

Rishi,

Thank you for your reply. I am using Ampps-3.0-x86_64. This is what the Terminal gave me after entering the command you suggested:

tom@AMMI-1-DT:~$ ln -s /usr/local/ampps/extra/lib/libexpat.so.1 /usr/local/ampps/apache/lib/libexpat.so.0
ln: failed to create symbolic link ‘/usr/local/ampps/apache/lib/libexpat.so.0’: Permission denied

So I tried it with root and received this output:

tom@AMMI-1-DT:~$ sudo su
[sudo] password for tom:
root@AMMI-1-DT:/home/tom# ln -s /usr/local/ampps/extra/lib/libexpat.so.1 /usr/local/ampps/apache/lib/libexpat.so.0
ln: failed to create symbolic link ‘/usr/local/ampps/apache/lib/libexpat.so.0’: File exists
root@AMMI-1-DT:/home/tom#

However I still can only access  http://localhost/ but none of the links below. All of which give me the same page of

Congratulations, Webuzo has been successfully installed

You can now configure Softaculous Webuzo at the following URL :
http://my IP:2004/

Thank you for choosing Webuzo !

root@AMMI-1-DT:/home/tom#

But this is what Webuzo gives me when I go to: http://my IP:2004/
Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at "my IP":2004.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.----------------
I don't know if this is an instillation problem, a port problem, a firewall problem, a combination of those or something entirely different.

But thanking you in advance for any help you can provide, Rishi.

Hi zenbuddha77,

I think your OS is running default Apache in the background so Ampps can not run his Apache.

Latest Ampps 3.0 comes with Apache 2.4.12 and you are getting error for Apache 2.4.7.

for libexpat error:

ln -s /usr/local/ampps/extra/lib/libexpat.so.1 /usr/local/ampps/apache/lib/libexpat.so.0

if above command not worked then just copy libexpat.so.1 to /usr/local/ampps/apache/lib and rename it to libexpat.so.0

To stop your default Apache run this command.

sudo killall httpd

Run Ampps Apache:

sudo /usr/local/ampps/apache/bin/httpd

Let me know what error you are getting.

Or please install Team viewer and leave details on support ticket. We will
take control over your desktop and solve this issue. We are available
