Host Install vs Self Install, Should I buy my own license? (3 Replies, Read 1879 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 2 Status:	I have a VPS at InMotion Hosting, and I currently pay a fee to use Softaculous on my reseller system. I was wondering if it would be better and perhaps less expensive to purchase my own license and install it on my VPS myself? What are the benefits either way? For me, it is not as much about the money, but the control over customization.

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 2 Status:	So, I see two options for VPS licensing. Do I pay either yearly or monthly, or do I have to pay the yearly fee plus the monthly fee? And if I do purchase my own license, can I simply change the active license on my VPS, or do I have to uninstall the host's version and reinstall the app for my license?

In order to purchase the license directly with us, first you will need to ask your web host to cancel the license for you. Once this is done you need to purchase the license from the Softaculous client area for your server IP and then refresh the license on your server : http://www.softaculous.com/docs/admin/how-to-refresh-license/ You do not need to reinstall Softaculous to update the license.
