Hi,

Sir you can use the following AMI and install Joomla from the Webuzo Enduser Panel
>> ami-b98a06d0

We will be providing updated AMIs in a couple of days.
Apology for the inconvenience caused.

Hi,

Sir you can install Joomla by click of a button from the scripts category if you own a Premium License on your server.

Here is a guide :
http://webuzo.com/wiki/Install_a_Script

Find the path to your domain from the Manage Domains options in the Webuzo Enduser Panel.
Here is a guide:
http://webuzo.com/wiki/Manage_Domain

SSH to your server and upload the package at the path to your domain.
Make sure the files/folders has owner and group set to the webuzo_username

To make a hassle free installation of Joomla and have your AWS instance running up in minutes you can use the Webuzo Cloud Launcher.

Hi,

Yes - I would like to FTP my current installation.  I uploaded the latest joomla package - extracted -  in the www file directory and I am getting the "internal server error"

Simply - I would like to use akeeba backup to kickstart the files but just looking to get a simple package uploaded so I know its going to work.

I hope this makes sense - just need some guidance on where to upload the files on the specific AMI

Thanks in advance.

I appreciate that but that's not what I am looking to do

I would like to launch an instance (AMI) on AWS
Upload a Joomla Package (Which I have Done)
Launching the installer (which constantly throws an internal server error) - I used the command given - that did not work

I am just looking to find out what file directory a Joomla application would be needed to be FTPed to

Simply put:
What file (where) do I upload and extract a Joomla application to on the AWS ami-b98a06d0
AMI?  I would then like to launch a browser installation
The www and public files are throwing the error code

Please set the Primary IP as the the Private IP of your instances. You can find the Private IP from the Admin Panel. For .eg. "10.10.x.x" .
You can follow this guide to change the Primary IP:
http://webuzo.com/wiki/Manage_NameServers

Restart the Apache server from your terminal and access your installation.
Code
Root > service httpd restart

The application is uploaded to the correct location i.e /home/USERNAME/www
Could you please provide the output of the following command:
Code
Root > ls -lha /home/USERNAME/public_html

Note :
Replace USERNAME with your Webuzo Username in the above command.
