Topic : Free credit for cloud users

As cloud users cant have the demo option (as advised by support), is there a way to default some free credit so new users can try the service.

Ive tried modifying the cur_bal deafult in the users table but it doesnt work, and I see there are no hooks for a new user login.

Should be simple...

Hi,

You can add transaction for the specific user from Admin panel->Billing->Add transaction.

yes, of course, thats easy..

However after a new user has signed up and logged in, they are presented with  um.....  nothing..  no plans, and no idea what they should pay money for (so they dont), so we added the plans so they could see, and then when they click on any of them, they are asked to topup, this works fine.

But, it would be ideal and simpler if we could add a default minimal amount so that the plans show and they can trial the service.

Editing the default cur_bal in the user mysql structue should work, but it doesnt transpose to the users data for some reason, is there a cache ??

Thanks

Bill

Hi,

We will add an option for this free balance and expiry for that balance.
cur_bal is updated via transaction table. So if you just update cur_bal column it will not reflect to the enduser. Balance should be added either via actual payment or from admin panel -> billing -> add transaction

We will add this option soon.

Hello,

it seems the changes promised were not actioned in the last 8 patches for the latest release, when will they be completed ?

Also, support seems to have vanished, no chat or ticket response at all... !

Latest issue...  when your install instructions are followed , the 100G you advises is no where big enough as a tmp folder for backups, and the vg cant be used for this..  what do we do with a 200G vm ?

any solutions / answers ?

Bill
