Topic : To finally fix the 500 permission issues

Posted By: Trax on March 20, 2015, 4:33 pm
It would be nice if the 500 internal server error caused by incorrect permissions was finally solved.

It's the only control panel i have used that when you upload any files it completely stuffs all permissions up! It's an ongoing issues that can be quite frustrating when making changes or uploading new files/folders.

Make sure you are logged in as user when you upload the files.

i do... if I'm honest I have more trouble with permissions when I use the built in file manager, using ftp in my opinion helps avoid some of these issues.

After all this time that webuzos been around you would have thought issues like this would have been ironed out by now

I agree 100%! Both servers that I have running webuzo have messed up permission. Anytime I do anything (create a new install, clone a site, etc) I have to go back and mess with the permissions.

Also, can we please get a one click backup that will backup all LAMP related files. Twice now I've updated apache and mysql and it mucks up the entire server. A daily backup of all the sever related files and setting would save us all so much time and energy, and saver you guys TONS of customer service.

I love webuzo, but these few things make me want to chuck it!

This should not cause permission related issues.
Could you share the steps to replicate this ?
