 Default FTP directories & scripts installation Issue (5 Replies, Read 17150 times)

Hi,
I added a new FTP account for a new domain in Webuzo. As Webuzo suggested this directory:
/home/prohosts/www/     
I added:
/home/prohosts/www/procurement

Where prohosts is actually Main domain and procurement is new domain added.
Now when I upload MyBB installation files through FTP and then try to install I see files do not exist. I feel that directory which Webuzo is suggesting while creating FTP account isn't correct, as that directory won't be visible, which is required for script installation.

Though I installed MyBB through auto-installer but I feel directory structure for FTP isn't correct. Please suggest me right directory structure so I can reinstall MyBB under new domain.

I also have two more problems but I will mention that later, I have added webuzo in Skype but I think support is offline.

Hi,

Sir it seems you are trying to upload to another location and fetching the files in another location.

I usually see this issue that suggested webuzo directory structure doesn't work. Why Webuzo suggests something that doesn't work? And why we need to be a tech guru to make a domain file structure in ftp work?

Glad to learn that you got it working.
The suggestions do work. However, you can change the path to the FTP user while creating it to suit your needs.
