ampps download page does not appear to be accurate, etc. (3 Replies, Read 2231 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 9 Status:	OK, so I just looked up the the version of ampps I downloaded and it says 2.3; however, the download page and the dmg I downloaded says 2.0—which is it? Also, as I mentioned in an earlier post, phpMyAdmin will not load for me. My browser indicated I'm running phpMyAdmin 3.5.6, however, ampps 'Scripts Center' says I'm running 3.5.7. Please advise.

The AMPPS that you have downloaded from the download page is AMPPS 2.0 and it comes with an addon i.e. Softaculous AMPPS and its version is 2.3, both of them are independent of each other. Currently AMPPS by default comes with phpMyAdmin 3.5.6 which is located in /Applications/AMPPS/phpmyadmin. Group: Member Post Group: Super Member Posts: 1121 Status:	Hi, Softaculous AMPPS is an auto-installer which has a script library of more than 280 scripts. So what you see on Enduser Panel and Admin Panel i.e http://localhost/ampps and http://localhost/ampps-admin respectively is actually the Softaculous. phpMyAdmin(latest version) is also included in that library, so the different version. If you want the latest version you can install it from enduser panel. Search for phpmyadmin -> go to install tab -> fill the details and install -> after completion you should get the link to access phpmyadmin. Default web directory is Ampps/www. You can refer our wiki: http://www.ampps.com/wiki/Install_a_Script You can similarly install phpMyAdmin Now AMPPS is a WAMP/MAMP Stack with Softaculous. Apache, MySQL, PHP, PERL and Softaculous. Along with these it also includes phpMyAdmin(currently 3.5.6), SQLiteManager, Python(mod_wsgi), MongoDB, etc. I hope your phpMyAdmin is working now and the confusion is clear. The phpmyadmin installation done from Enduser Panel and the one which comes with AMPPS will be different.
