I noticed in the help about it states version 2.1, but in the ampps admin it stats 4.4.3

Am I at the latest version?

Hi,

Ampps 2.1 is not upgradable to latest version of Ampps because of major changes in the new version.

2.1 version is the version of Ampps and 4.4.3 is the version of Softaculous (i.e the Enduser/Admin Panel) which is latest.

New version of Ampps is available i.e 2.3. You cannot upgrade directly by overwriting the files. You will lose the database, files and configurations.

So if you want you can take the backup of your www, database and other necessary from files.

Important Locations:
/Applications/AMPPS/www - htdocs
/Applications/AMPPS/var - MySQL Database
/Applications/AMPPS/private - Softaculous files, backups  and data directory
/Applications/AMPPS/conf - Configurations of Apache, MySQL, php, etc
/Applications/AMPPS/apache/conf/extra - VirtualHosts
/Applications/AMPPS/ampps/data - Ampps data like domains list, alias list, etc.
