I have a site built on Sitepad that I want to move to WordPress via pagelayer.

Is there a migration path?

Based on more than 40 years of experience in hobby and professional environments, I can say that such a conversion trajectory either does not exist, or is very incomplete and inadequate. It just means that you have to manually check and adjust a lot.

My advice is to put your web site page by page in your web browser and link the existing web text as plain text to your new web page in your opened WordPress editor. Okay, it seems like a lot of work, but you avoid all kinds of "underwater problems" and you can update your text immediately and use the latest possibilities with your lesson learned by now through damage and disgrace.

Kerrya just a noncommittal advice, first check whether the main points such as a well-functioning menu on a PC, Tablet and telephone screen works well. It seems like a small detail, but if the conversion has been completed and you only notice that it does not work, well then it certainly does not make you very happy.
Good luck with the conversion
