Hi.

I've just set up Webuzo on a virtual server to give it a test run and at a quick glance I couldn't see that it supported multiple IP addresses.

There are problems with using a shared IP address for multiple domains when those domains need to have SSL set up on them. SNI does solve this but it needs to be supported by the browser that's viewing the page. I'm not 100% sure what the status of that is now, I belive most modern browsers do, but there are still some that don't.

So can you explain what the status is? Does Webuzo have any support for defining dedicated IPs to (sub-)domains?

Hi,

You can add sub domains as usual and further edit the IP from the Advanced Zone Settings.
Here is a guide :

Ok, thanks but will this affect the configuration of the Apache setup, that is, will it configure the sub-domain as an "IP virtualhost" as opposed to a "Named virtualhost"?

I'm not going to use Webuzo to manage the actual DNS (I don't have control over the authoritative DNS so I can't) so for my case this is a bit unintuitive. But as long as it does change the Apache configuration then I guess I can live with it.

Ok, so I take it that doing the DNS configuration will not affect the Apache config currently?

Is there any way to keep track of this? Do you know when I could expect this to appear in Webuzo?

I need to make a decision very soon about what system to use and currently my two options are Webuzo and Virtualmin. I'd much rather use Webuzo but unfortunately this lack of a feature makes that impossible. So I'll have to go with Virtualmin unless this is just about to land in the next few days/weeks.

Is there any issue tracker where I can subscribe to a ticket about this or anything like that?

any additional information on this? I have an IP address which is associated to the server but reads as not in use because it is not a primary IP address of the system.
