Topic : AMPPS 3.6 not able to open on macOS Sierra

Posted By: PeterNL070 on October 7, 2016, 8:36 am
Hi,

After downloading and installing AMPPS 3.6 on my fresh install of macOS Sierra I am unable to open it. The problem is that when I open it I get a message that I can't open as it's from a unknown developer. Normally there was a 3rd option in the system settings to open those programs but they removed it :(

In Systems Preferences, Security & Privacy there should be three options:  App Store; App Store and identified developers; Anywhere.

I'm on MacOS Sierra and have the options.

But I bet you did just upgrade from El Capitan? I did a fresh install.

I managed to run it with a terminal command:
Code
Sudo spctl --master-disable

But now it crashes.

Hi,

On Mac OS Sierra Download this patch and extract over Ampps.
http://files.ampps.com/Ampps.zip

Go to /Applications/AMPPS directory and double click on Ampps icon, if error message appears then click on reopen button.

Or try this method:

Open Terminal and run following commands.

cd /Applications/AMPPS
./Ampps.app/Contents/MacOS/Ampps

Now close Ampps panel and try to open with double clicking on it.
