Topic : Failing to upgrade to 2.3

OS: Win7 x64

According to ym Readme.txt file, I'm on -= Ampps 2.2 =-
and yes I try to update towards 2,3 (or have to now, as I cant even start Ampps anymore)

Microsoft VC++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) is installed, because I get the following error:
"A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine."

So when I try to update I get the following error:

Amupdate.exe - System Error

---------------------------

The program can't start because QtCored4.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

and when I try to launch Ampps itself it just responds with:

---------------------------

The procedure entry point _Z21qRegisterResourceDataiPKhS0_S0_ could not be located in the dynamic link library QtCore4.dll.

Hi,

Did you get any error when you tried to update ?

I clicked "update now"
Nothing (literally) happened.
Closed Ampps, tried to start - error messages

Thanks the manual update worked!
But I can't seem to find the modern theme in the settings, there's no such option

Hi,

In Enduser Panel i.e http://localhost/ampps what version do you see in Footer ?

Update Softaculous from Admin Panel http://localhost/ampps-admin if its not updated.

Strange. Can you please confirm again. You should get a drop down menu in "Choose Theme" in Admin Panel i.e http://localhost/ampps-admin

Please send the us the screenshot if possible.

I am getting the exact same error when trying to upgrade. What was the resolution for this?

Ampps itself opens. But the updater wont open either from with Ampps or from running it manually from Amupdate.exe

Same problem here. AMPPS tells me there's an update available every time I start it but then absolutely nothing happens when I click "Yes" to update.

Running Amupdate.exe manually gives the error message about a missing QtCored4.dll.

I'd like to join in on this. I cannot upgrade either, getting the qtcore4 error, even though I have C++ thing installed.

Can you provide a solution in the thread?

Hi,

Since we are not able to replicate this issue, can you open a ticket and install TeamViewer ?

I would like to personally take control over your desktop and look into this issue.

I am not posting the workaround here because other users who are new to Ampps and such environment might break Ampps package completely.

Once the problem is confirmed, I will post the workaround here.
