Hi, is there any Joomla plugin, so users can trigger Softaculos backup of Joomla installation, from Joomla administration?

Hi,

At the moment there is no Joomla plugin which can trigger Softaculous backup from Joomla administration.

You can trigger Softaculous backup from Softaculous Enduser panel :

or you can also configure auto backup to trigger Softaculous backups automatically :

Hi,
I don't see the automated back-up option present for joomla in the advanced options during installation or after installation in the app options. :squi:

Do you know if this feature will be available in the future?

Hi,

The feature is already released.

It could be possible that your host has disabled automated backups from Softaculous admin panel.

You are right, my provider(siteground) disabled it on purpose.

It is not very clear why though.

Hi,

Generally web hosts disable the backup option from Softaculous when they have another backup option which automatically backs up your whole account.
