Topic : Unable to update Flarum to 1.2.0

Hello,

I have been using Softaculous through my hosting provider Hostiso and have installed Flarum version 1.1 a month ago. Now that the newest update is available 1.2.0 - I cannot figure out how to apply the update. I see that Softaculous has the available version 1.2.0 in the description but installation does not show up as an available Update in the "Outdated Installations" field

Hi,

Flarum supports only CLI based upgrade. https://docs.flarum.org/update

As a third party plugin Softaculous does not have access to execute the command for the users who are on a shared hosting environment. Hence we can not add the upgrade utility in Flarum at present.

However we have contacted the vendor and requested them to add the GUI based upgrade. Once the vendor adds the GUI based upgrade we shall also add the same.
