I have setup 2 addon domain in ampps.

domain1.com
domain2.com

All that works great from the curren computer (the localhost computer)

When I try to connect to one of the domain from my android phone...
First it didn't work so I added 192.168.2.14 domain1.com to my android phone host file (yes super user). the ip being the computer with ampss installed obviously.

Anyway, Everytime I request domain1.com from my android device I get the same result as requestin localhost from the computer. The ampps local web site.

Is there a way to set this up so my android device would get the right website for the requested domain.

There's something I'm missing and hopefully it's not too much.

Thanks

Hi,

You will have to configure DNS server for that.

If you want to access your site from other computers without configuring DNS. Create a domain with your local ip address as the name.

You can refer this wiki :

Got it figured it out. I had followed the instruction in this post:

http://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php?tid=2077&title=Using_multiple_domains

and the one you provided. It is working well. I made a dumb mistake like not saving the changes before restarting apache and it led to alot of trouble

Got it under control.

Thanks for your time.
