I have been trying to setup my PowerDNS servers. I used your tutorial,
the master-ns sets up okay and is running. However when your script gets to
slave-ns it fails, please see the error below, Here's your tutorial. Rather simple yet it fails. /wiki/PowerDNS

Please note my parameters are correct,

I do not want to hand over my root pass every time there is a problem.

Both of my ns servers and the virt server can all ping each other ,
remote ssh is enabled everywhere, both ns servers have centos 6.4-64bit,
512ram 10gb HD, 4 vCPU. Both ns servers are vps, both are on different
subnets, I set SELinux as disabled on both ns servers. For test purposes
I successfully used 'scp' to copy a random file to and from both ns
servers to confirm connectivity.

What should I investigate to resolve this issue?

Should I try install MySQL manually on the slave ns server and then
re-run your PDNS install script on the master ns server to try resolve
this issue?

Should I try add both ns servers(as PowerDNS servers) to my virtualzor
server config area before running the install script on the master ns
server?

The log is below, same issue, please be advised my parameters are 100%
correct.

Here's the log,

btw i had to hash out all the links because you don't allow me to post links even though the links are to your websites which is very strange! Why don't you add your own urls to the allowed list in your form dashboard!

Basically, i'll need an answer and solution to this issue today, already spent several days trying to install PowerDNS with your script before contacting support yesterday and now posting here today. Otherwise i'll have to switch systems because I will not hand over my root password for 3 of my servers when support could actually offer me some advise. I wont be held hostage to my root passwords. If i don't get some support and/or solution for this within the rest of my working day, then i will have to switch to another system.

Thanks, and I just got your latest reply via ticket. I will send you the /root/virtualizor-pdns.log very shortly, I will just take a look at that log myself first to see if anything stands out.

With help from Siddhesh Rele overnight, the problem as usual turned out to be something simple.

As advised, installing the missing "openssh-clients" on the nameserver VPS's solved the issue and the install script ran successfully as describe on virtualizor.com/wiki/PowerDNS

Thanks very much indeed.
