I know the DropBox backup feature took much longer than expected, this was due to severe testing required for this feature. Group: Softaculous Team Post Group: Super Member Posts: 5652 Status:	Hi, We had a discussion with our development team and they said that they decided to add ftp/ftps/sftp along with dropbox backup. Hence they had to rewrite the dropbox backup as well and we will be adding all of them soon. Again this will take some time since it will require to rewrite a few backup related classes in Softaculous. Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 3 Status:	So.. Does it take almost 3 years to add this feature - and still no news about it? We ask for remote backup to Cloud services (Google Drive, Dropbox), and you give us backup to FTP? When can we use GDrive and Dropbox? Please give a realistic answer.

We understand it took much longer than expected for adding remote backups option, however we had to make several changes in Softaculous core to support backups to remote servers and sometimes it also go delayed due to other priorities. Once the changes in Softaculous core were completed for remote backups we can add more services like Dropbox, Google Drive. We added support for FTP to start with remote backups and we have also completed integration with Dropbox and are currently testing the same and will try to release it soon. For Google Drive we will start this integration once Dropbox is released.
