Posted By: peopleinside on December 25, 2015, 8:57 am
Hi,
when I switch from previous Apache to Apache 2 all my .htaccess stop to works so my website not load well.

I tried to change the settings on Apache 2 None to All and restart Apache 2 but when I try to load website I see .htaccess files in all directory are not read so website not load well.

    #
    # AllowOverride controls what directives may be placed in .htaccess files.
    # It can be "All", "None", or any combination of the keywords:
    #  Options FileInfo AuthConfig Limit
    #
    AllowOverride All

What is wrong, what I have to do for see .htaccess work as the previous Apache version?
Thanks

Also when I switch to Apache 2 I see SuPHP are not used anymore and does not exist so I have issue.

Should I install another App to replace that? Because Live Helper Chat and also phpbb stop to work without SuPHP

Hi,
I AM still waiting to understand this issue, ticket is opened so just wait.

In the ticket you wrote on 26 Dec 2015:
In regards to your .htaccess issue it might be that since you had suPHP
enabled while installing WordPress the permission might be set
accordingly. Hence when you shift to Apache2, it is not able to access
.htaccess due to less permissions. If you can provide us your server
root details, we can check the same for you.

What permission you told?
How maybe I can check this and solve by myself?

If I switch to Apache 2 where SuPHP are not supported, how to made updates in WordPress? I See if I disable SuPHP the i try to update plug in or Themes WorPress ask all time FTP credentials. This should not happen.

I will receive a reply to this topic? Also to a ticket? I Hope :)
I have heard you on Saturday 26, I was updating the ticket but you say office time was finished so you said on Monday you will look to the ticket. Today is Monday and as I can see it's 15.14 PM I still wait an update to the ticket.

I will be happy to understand what you mean with Apache 2 maybe have no enough permission to use / access .htaccess due to less permission?

So where I set permission? I think is not permission of the file .htaccess as with the previous Apache all work fine.

The first time I told about this .htaccess issue with Apache 2 was on 3 December or maybe before.

I don't know if is an .htaccess issue or also or mod_rewrite issue. Something are not working as i expect.

If I activate Apache 2 should work "normally" load .htaccess file.

On switching to Apache 2 and your site not working, monitor the webserver logs. It will help you understand and resolve the issue faster.
