Topic : About Virtualizor with Proxmox, LXC and others

Posted By: leol on August 17, 2023, 2:56 pm
Hi, I'd like to know does Virtualizor works on LXC. What I meant is installing it on LCX instead of KVM. I'd also like to know is it possible to install it on KVM and connect to existing Proxmox to sell VPS instead of install it on the Proxmox node directly. Third, I'd like to know is Virtualizor able to select / assign a bridge according to the usage to the vps. My current situation is having 4 Wan on a same node providing only IPv6 to vm using DHCP. I'd like to give the vm different wans according to the assign amount. so maybe for example, 100 vm will have 25 vm using bridge 1, 25 vm using bridge2, 25 vm using bridge3 and 25 vm using bridge 4

Hi,

You can install LXC on a dedicated server or on a KVM VPS :

https://www.virtualizor.com/docs/install/install-lxc/

If you want to use Proxmox LXC then it needs to be installed on server/KVM VPS and then install Proxmox Virtualizor on it :

https://www.virtualizor.com/docs/install/install-proxmox/

You can add IP pool on panel and choose Vlan option and have your bridge selected there without adding any Vlan tag unless its necesarry.
You will need a Linux Bridge created on the server prior to that.

I mean, can I install  Virtualizor INSIDE the lxc container and use that to connect to proxmox to create lxc and kvm machines

There's also a problem, which is I'm still trying virtualizor and I've deleted the kvm already but it shows "Your license is expired. Please renew the license to get the latest update of Virtualizor." I'm sure I've not used all 30 days trial yet, how can I install it on the new kvm? I guess the IP is locked

Hi,

For license, you can email to support@virtualizor.com

>> No, Virtualizor needs to be there where you want to create VPS.
Our installer installs the underlying virtualization too.

If your license is indeed expired, you may need to renew it to continue using Virtualizor.  Follow the instructions provided by Virtualizor support for renewing your license.

What I mean is, is it possible to install Virtualizor within the LXC container and then connect to ProxyMox in order to build LXC and KVM machines?
