 Upgrade php on Ampps for Mac, 5.3.16 is very old (9 Replies, Read 6411 times)

Hello there,

Where can I find some help to upgrade the php version? It's very low.

What can i do to upgraded it to 5.4(.9) or at least 5.3.5

I'm having issues on 5.3.16 with a script that uses Smarty-

Hi,

You can't upgrade manually. You will have to wait for the AMPPS Update.

By the way, AMPPS currently provides PHP 5.2.17 & PHP 5.3.16 on Mac OS X.

Would love to know about a time frame for an update for Mac as well. I'm hoping to show my Advanced Web Design class this application, and most are running Macs ... Would love to see the upgrade to PHP 5.4.x and 5.3.16 (at min).

It will be soon launched with PHP 5.3.20 and 5.4.10 on both Windows and Mac. Sorry for the delay.

Meaning we can't install some scripts until the end of the month? :/

I can't install Wordpress right now... "The software requires a higher version of AMPPS! Please report this to the server administrator."

No. Softaculous AMPPS will be released within a day or two.The Binary and the Stack may take little more time.
Softaculous Ampps can be upgraded easily in Admin Panel. or by Cron.

Softaculous AMPPS 2.1 is launched. Run the cron to update it. You should be able to install WordPress now.
