Topic : localhost button in AMPPS results in error page

Posted By: grumpygramps339 on January 4, 2024, 6:31 pm
This is the page returned when trying to open "localhost" using the icon in the AMPPS control panel. This is in a fresh vanilla install of AMPPS 4.3.

Warning: require_once(C:\Program Files\Ampps4.3\www/wp-settings.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Program Files\Ampps4.3\www\wp-config.php on line 102

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'C:\Program Files\Ampps4.3\www/wp-settings.php' (include_path='.;C:\php\pear') in C:\Program Files\Ampps4.3\www\wp-config.php on line 102

What's the fix for this?

Hi,
Sorry for delay in the response.

seems like you have installed WordPress in the root directory. (C:\Program Files\Ampps4.3\www).
So when you are trying to access localhost(127.0.0.1) you are getting an issue related to the WordPress

Please install WordPress in any directory or you can clone this installation to any directory and then remove this installation from http://localhost/ampps/index.php?act=installations

then retry accessing your localhost.

If you still facing the same issue let us know or you can raise a support ticket at https://ampps.com/support
