Where Ampps keeps MySQL database files? (6 Replies, Read 19930 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 2 Status:	Hi, I am going to synchronize Ampps instalation on my two Mac's using Dropbox. Both ML 10.8.2 machines. www was not problem, I created symlink in Ampps folder linked with www folder in Dropbox - working OK. MySQL stil not working for me. What I was done until now: 1. Move Ampps/mysql/data to Dropbox and in Ampps/mysql/created symlink "data" to that folder in Dropbox - it was not working 2. Move Ampps/mysql to Dropbox and in Ampps/ created "mysql" symlink to that folder in Dropbox - it was not working to. So my question is where MySQL in Ampps keep data? On my Windows machine I used WAMP and syncing www and mysql folder by Dropbox was OK, why it is not working on mac? Thank you in advance for your help. ArekS

I am trying to understand what the URL to this file would be. Is it ampps/data/mysql-bin.000001 I also sent you a PM... not a good day for me (smile).
