 Softaculuos error or Wordpress?, Uploads and Upgrades directorys missing (2 Replies, Read 2479 times)

Here is the error i get when trying to install plugins on a newly created wordpress install with softaculuos:

Unable to create directory
/home/reachmor/public_html/reachmoreclix.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05.
Is its parent directory writable by the server?

It seems the diectorys "uploads and upgrades" are not being installed in the wp-content directory?

I'm puzzled?

Please advise.

Hi,

You will have to make the Directory writable :
/home/reachmor/public_html/reachmoreclix.com/wp-content/

Softaculous installs the default WordPress with the required permissions.

Are you kidding me...

I spent whole day yesterday trying to figure out why I was getting that same error when trying to install plugins on new WP installation. And all I had to do Is change the permissions. Man it drove me off the walls  :P .
So simple...
