 How to manually Set phpBB3 Version? (3 Replies, Read 3196 times)

I have this software through my host.  Anyway, when I access it via my cpanel, it has an update for my phpBB3 board from version 3.0.7pl1 to the new 3.0.8

I used the phpBB3 auto installer to update to version 3.0.8 due to the fact I had  modifications.  So I'm up to date but the Softaculous software is not picking it up.  So how do I change that?

There is no way to manually set this, no even through the Administrative side. The update will need to be performed from the Softaculous software in order for the software to stop reading as out of date.

I have done this quite a few times for my customers who don't know how to perform the update themselves.

So I got an e-mail a new version of the software is released.  Do we know if we now have the ability like Installatron to tell the software that we already updated?  For message board softwares that you can add modifications to, you can never use softwares like this to update.  Thanks
