Topic : Fresh install of Ampps is using cached data

Posted By: Rift on February 7, 2015, 12:29 pm
I've reinstalled Ampps after the update (yet again) broke it. Now my Apache won't start because some of its config files are setting my document root to a location that doesn't exist.

The directory it's using is from config values I set on a previous install of Ampps. What do I have to delete to get an ABSOLUTELY fresh install of Ampps?

This is the error message I receive when trying to start Apache. As you can see, the document root it's set to doesn't exist. This is a fresh install of Ampps, I haven't changed any config files so this is due to the installer somehow using cached config values from a previous install and messing it up entirely.

Hi Rift,

Try this

Go to Your C:\Program filesx<86>\Ampps\apache\conf\extra folder.

Open httpd-ssl.conf

clear all data and save it.

Open httpd-autoindex.conf

change all E:\ampps to $path

save it
