Hello,

I have several domains set up as mydomain.dev all pointing to their appropriate directory in my Dropbox www directory. I also use Codekit2 for browser refreshing and compiling so I have the External Server Address in Codekit2 for each project set up as mydomain.dev.

Everything works fine on my development computer but when I try to access the sites on other devices connected to the same network I am unable to access any of the sites on the server. I've tried accessing the sites from mydomain.dev and computer-name.local:5757 as suggested by Codekit for browser refreshing to work but neither connect to the local server.

This all seemed to be working fine when I was using MAMP so I'm not really sure what's preventing this from working.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Denis

I'm not sure what you mean. Where should I look for this?

Hi,

As you want to access site from your network, you will have to install and configure DNS server on your own as Ampps doesn't come with one.

DNS Server is used to resolve the domain name to ip address.

With Ampps you can access from ip only.

Thanks for the help.

I'm sorta lost though, I thought that's what the domain manager was for.

Would this DNS server be installed via AMPPS? Any idea where I can find it?
