 AMPPS64 is unusable on Catalina (8 Replies, Read 15381 times)

After  I found out AMMPS64 was released I immediately updated my Mac to Catalina (which I regret now).

1) When I've installed an upgraded version of AMMPS64 - I lost all my SQL files, so prepare to backup

2) The app would not launch as the GateKeeper will prevent all binaries from being executed. I fixed this by issuing the following

xattr -d -r com.apple.quarantine /Applications/AMPPS/

3) Then, a blank screen was shown instead of AMPPS control panel. After spending half an hour on google I managed to fix this one by issuing the following command:

/Applications/AMPPS/php-5.6/bin/php -c /Applications/AMPPS/php-5.6/etc/php.ini /Applications/AMPPS/ampps/softaculous/enduser/install.php

4) Then I tried creating new domains and it failed on me :(

- Domains would not resolve (any domain still renders localhost)
- SSL is not working

Bottomline is: stay with Mojave and use the old version for now until they update it to a proper one.

Same problems,  should have stayed on mojave.  Your terminal command fixed my blank admin and I am also able to add domains. Thx.

do you also experience SSL and domains issue? Whenever I add a new domain it would not work at all :(

Please try to execute command on dmg you downloaded
xattr -d -r com.apple.quarantine <PATH TO DMG>

And then install AMPPS

Domains are adding for me.  Can't seem to change mysql password from admin.  Haven't tested ssl.

when i'm add a domain, hosts file is don't update, also v-host not update anything...

new domain after i added it don't work, previous i'm using old version, when i add a domain this ask password for changes hosts file and add v-host.

I did what romanos3141 was telling in his reply. I have also analyzed the files below:
httpd-ssl.conf
httpd-vhosts.conf
httpd.conf

in httpd-vhosts.conf I changed it to my local IP and virtual hosts worked and I can see my security certificate is valid. Just play with those files and restart your server every time you try something.

I changed these <VirtualHost 192.168.1.162:80>
<Directory "/Applications/AMPPS/www/ from 127.0.0.1 to my local ip. You might up come up with different solutions till they sort this out.

Its so weird also this new Ampps works php versions 5.6 and 7.3 although I have forced the paths and edited the data file nothing worked for other pho versions. for now I can do what I want but its not a real solution.

I did what romanos3141 was telling in his first post, that solved a lot of my issues, thanks ! But i'm facing the "domain issue" : when I'm adding a domain, it update properly those files :

/private/etc/hosts
/Applications/AMPPS/apache/conf/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf

Everything looks nice, but my domain is not working properly : it's pointing on my localhost folder, and not on the domain folder. I need to restart my computer to make everything work...

Is anybody facing the same issue ?

(I'm on a Catalina clean install, on a MacBook Pro 2015)

I almost started migrating to other solution and did a final check on this forum today and I'm excited that I don't need to do that boring migration work because AMPPS is already available in 64 Bit.

Thanks guys!

I'm still thinking that ampps is quite efficient for me at the moment compared to other solutions that might be more ideal. So I will be waiting for the proper update, especially for the domain and SSL fix and I don't mind staying a little longer with Mojave
