Hi,
I've made a Database + Directory backup of my Magento Installation using Softaculous Backup/Restore function.

Would I get my full magento installation if I restore from Softaculous restore function? I'm using a standard Magento installation.

I ask this because my server storage indicator shows that I've used about 400MB of space. However, my backup file is only 35MB and I don't have any other installations except for the Magento. I'm afraid some files are missed in the backup file.

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks,
Faizal

Hi,

While taking a backup of an installation Softaculous asks if you would like to backup directory as well as database. (Both are selected by default). If you can confirm that you did not uncheck any of the checkboxes while creating backup then all your files and database will be included in the backup.

The size can be small because the backup is stored in a compressed tar.gz format.

Also on the restore if you see an option to restore database and directory then both of them are present in the backup.
