Topic : ioncube loader ignoring that PHP5-6 is installed

Posted By: dmcclain on October 2, 2017, 7:33 pm
We are running PHP 5.6, verified in PHP Configuration (5.6.25 to be exact).

BUT when I click on the Wordpress installs list, I get this error --

"Fatal error: The file /Applications/AMPPS/ampps/scripts/wp/php53/install.php cannot be decoded by this version of the ionCube Loader. If you are the administrator of this site then please install the latest version of the ionCube Loader. in Unknown on line 0"

I can't explain why it thinks it needs php53, AND I also commented out the entire ionCube Loader line since other answers suggest it is not needed in later versions of PHP.

Can anyone help?

Oh, and I did place the 32-bit version of ionCube Loader into the folder php.ini expected, just in case it was corrupted, but that did not help.

Hi,

Download OS X 32 zip from following url:
https://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php

Extract ioncube_loaders_dar_x86.zip.

Copy ioncube_loader_dar_5.3.so file and paste in /Applications/AMPPS/lib/extensions/ directory.

Softaculous Runs on PHP-5.3 so copy php-5.3 ioncube only.

That confused me since we are running PHP 5.6, but you know what this actually did work! It got rid of the PHP5-3 error, anyway, and that's what I needed.

Thank you for your help, Rishi_P
