Topic : [V Urgent & Imp](06-02-2024) WEBUZO - Issue faced by enduser while password change in webmail

Posted By: ManagedCloud-Hosting on February 6, 2024, 4:42 pm
Hello,

Is there no option in this control panel where Enduser can change their own passwords from their webmail login as in cPanel, DirectAdmin, Plesk and other control panels.

What about their data security? They are bound to use the same password that the Admin sets for them?

Please let us know...thank you.

Best

Hi,
Sir, you can change your email account password from Webuo Enduser Panel > Email > Email accounts > click on Edit Icon from Option > Change the password.
Let us know.

Dear Bhavinn,

If that is correct where is "privacy" and where is "Data Protection"  Sir? Who is Admin here and who you treat as Enduser here?

I strongly believe what you are trying to say is that only the person having Admin access - Email > Email accounts  -> to the Hosting Control Panel can change the password...however the enduser who will be using the mailbox will have no ability to change his / her password and keep on using what the Admin has set for them ??

Any user nowadays will like to use their own password and NOT like that of the one set by an ADMIN, and in list of users will be ME and YOU too Sir.  Will you keep on using the same password or you have no right to privacy?

Please check this at the earliest...

Best

Admin can be accessed on port 2004 or 2005 and enduser 2002 and 2003

No sir we are saying enduser can change the email from enduser itself , you can follow the below guide:

Hello ,

Let me know what Term you are using for the WEBMAIL USER?? Lets talk on the correct issue and not try to twist or waste time. Please check the details and screenshot below for your better understanding of the concern all Webmail users are facing...

And most importantly HOW the webmail user change the "PASSWORD" Themselves from the Webmail which is available since ages for other control panels like cPAnel / DirectAdmin/ Plesk etc.

We will add this feature by the end of this quarter. Also users can always change the password from the Webuzo Panel. There are certain technical issues related to this and hence this will take time.

@ManagedCloud-Hosting We have understood and noted your point that you want the "email users" who are eventually going to use their email addresses to be able to reset the password themselves without asking the "admin" to reset the password for them.

We will be adding this functionality to change the password from the Webmail itself soon.
