After installing Selfoss I understand a CRON job is generated during installation. I'm just wondering how AMPPS executes this CRON job? Seeing as CRON has been depreciated in favour of LAUNCHD under OS X (it's a total pain I agree).

Could I get some clarity on this? Do I just cancel the CRON job created by AMPPS and schedule a LAUNCHD job?

Hi,

ATM AMPPS does not add cron. You will have to add in manually. Though if you want you can find the cron command in Edit Installation page of your installation.

Hey Tidus,

Thanks for the quick response. I fixed this by creating a launchd job that executes the following command under OS X every 10 minutes:

curl -k https://yourhostname/selfoss/update

Works well :-)
