Hi,
You need to first open your file editor(For eg: Notepad) as Admin(Right click on the editor and then select "Run as Administrator"). Now open the hosts file, you should now be able to edit it successfully. Please let us know if you still facing the problem. ----------------------- Follow AMPPS on, Google+ |

This solution did work. But Ampps still don't have access to hosts file. |

Hi,
After disabling UAC, check the checkbox anyway(skipping the warning) and try adding the domain. Let us know if it works. We will fix it in future releases if it has any bug. ----------------------- Follow AMPPS on, Twitter : https://twitter.com/AMPPS_Stack Facebook : http://www.facebook.com/softaculousampps Google+ : https://plus.google.com/+AmppsStack |

I think it is some kind of workaround. Run Ampps as Administrator and ignore red text ;)
I will wait for real fix ;) |
