Topic : addon domains not working

Posted By: portatech on July 3, 2014, 8:11 pm
hello,

I have installed webuzo on a digitalocean droplet. Ubuntu 14.04 x64

I changed the nameservers to point to ns1.digitalocean.com and ns2.digitalocean.com.

I added the main domain to the dns list inside digitalocean with an A record pointing to the droptlet IP.

the domain works and points to the default webuzo index page so no problem with main domain.

BUT

I follow the same process for add-on domains but they are not working properly.

my main domain points to /home/user/public_html

my addon domains point to /home/user/public_html/addon1

the whois data for the addon domain is the same as my main domain.

when I ping it it shows the correct IP.

nothing on the error log.

any idea what could be the problem.

it was fixed

a python module installed on the server caused the trouble.

Quick fix for the same is to rename the wsgi config file /usr/local/apps/apache/etc/conf.d/wsgi.conf to /usr/local/apps/apache/etc/conf.d/wsgi.conf.bak

Restart the Apache service as

Root > service httpd restart

It is replicated on Ubuntu only.

It is not required on CentOS.
What is your CentOS version and architecture ?
